Kimbirly Vasi BIO:
Kimbirly Vasi lives in Troy, Michigan with her husband Gary and her two sons. Kimbirly and her family are evangelical Christians and attend Highland Park Baptist Church. Kimbirly and Gary have five children between them, Gary’s three beautiful daughters; Megan, Nicole and Stephanie, and Kimbirly’s two wonderful sons; Adam and Samuel.
Kimbirly began singing as a child at home and in church and school choirs. She began writing music as a teenager (although technically she wrote her very first song at age eight that was about Disneyland. Ha ha). She knew from a very young age that she wanted to sing professionally, so she joined a band at age seventeen and has been singing professionally ever since in many different bands in the Detroit area, New York and New Jersey, as well as doing voice over, jingles and recording vocals on other artists music.
Kimbirly began writing and recording contemporary Christian music when she was 21 after becoming a born again Christian. She felt that God had giver her this talent in order to spread the Gospel to all the world.
In her spare time, Kimbirly enjoys knitting, watching movies and of course, spending time with her family. Kimbirly is also a video gamer and is a Community Leader in the largest online gaming community in the world called Xiled Gaming. She has been a member of Xiled Gaming for four years and has enjoyed meeting many new friends. Check out Xiled Gaming at: http://www.xiledgaming.com
One of Kimbirly’s best friends is also her writing and music partner, Kris Pierowich. Kimbirly and Kris met when Kris was working at a talent and booking agency. Kimbirly was hired as a karaoke host and Kris was training all of the karaoke hosts at the time. Two weeks later, Kris asked Kimbirly to join a band that he was in. They and their families have been close friends ever since. Kris is even the God parent of Kimbirly’s youngest son, Sam.
How “We The People (Silent Majority No More)” came about:
Here is Kimbirly in her own words telling how this awesome anthem came to be:
I sang the National Anthem at the tax day tea party in Lansing, Michigan on the steps of the Michigan Capital building. When the organizers began planning the Independence Day tea party, they asked me to sing the National Anthem again and also a patriotic song. I couldn’t think of a traditional patriotic song that embodied the tea party movement and why we are here and what we are about. I started thinking, “I’m a song writer, so I’ll just write one”. I sat down to write a song about We The People and in less than an hour, the song was written. I truly believe that the Lord put this song on my heart! The next thing I did was call my “partner in crime“, Kris. We got together at his house and worked out the musical arrangement and then hit the studio and recorded the song in under four hours! We had some CD’s pressed and then debuted the song at the Independence Day tea party in Lansing, Michigan. We got a GREAT response, everyone loved it and sang along.
I want WE THE PEOPLE (Silent Majority No More) to inspire ALL Americans to STAND UP and let their voice be heard so we can take back our country!
My newest single “One Nation” is based on our Pledge of Allegiance was released on July 4th, 2010. I am also in the process of recording my latest song called “Glad to be Free”. I think soon I will have to just release a whole patriotic CD!
While I absolutely love writing, recording and singing music for the Lord, I love that I have been able to put my talent to use for my country and her people!!
