“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of my brothers and sisters, you did for me”

Matthew 25:40

Recently, The Lord put something on my heart. He showed me how He wanted me to raise money and help our military and veteran families in need. This has been and continues to be a huge labor of love for me, out of obedience to God.

Upon doing some research, I found out that too many of our military families are barely getting by! Last year alone, they redeemed food stamps at twice the civilian rate! Many rely on food stamps, soup kitchens, food banks and charities to make ends meet! This to me, is an outrage! How can we allow this to be the standard for the very people who risk (and give) life and limb to keep us free?

What started as a “message” from God has now turned into a project called “From Our Hearts To Yours” or FOHTY.

I began by writing a song, obviously called “From Our Hearts To Yours”, which is a song of gratitude to the brave men and women who serve our great nation. As I sat down to write the song, I thought of my nephew Patrick who is serving in Afghanistan, and how hard it was for him to say goodbye to his Mom and Dad after being on leave, and there was the first line of the song…”as a son says goodbye, in the early morning light, somewhere a mother leaves her child with tears in her eyes”. The song continues with the mantra of “Thank You for keeping us free… for the blood that was shed in defense of our liberty….from our hearts to yours, we thank you”.

After writing and recording the song, I set out to create a foundation and/or work with existing foundations, such as Wounded Warriors, USO, Operation Homefront and others to give proceeds from the sales of the song and concert events to them in order to help our military and veteran families in need.

This is where Matthew 25:40 is important. Jesus said to his followers, “when I was hungry, you fed me. When I was thirsty you gave me drink. When I was a stranger, you invited me in. When I was sick, you looked after me and when I was in prison, you visited me”. His followers said “Lord, when did we do those things for you”? And the Christ answered “truly I tell you, whatever you did for the least of my brothers and sisters, you did for me“.

I ask you to please, prayerfully consider purchasing my song “From Our Hearts To Yours”, as well as donating your time or money any one of the excellent charities that help our military and veteran families in need. For whatever you for them, you are doing for HIM.

May God bless you always,

Kimbirly

I am currently working on a project called "From Our Hearts To Yours". The goal of this project is to raise money for our military and veteran families. I have always had a huge place in my heart for our men & women in uniform and a deep respect and love for them, but more than anything, I have an undying sense of gratitude! Our troops & veterans have volunteered to put themselves in harm's way and risk (and often give) their lives for our freedom!

The sad fact is that too many of our military and veteran families live below the poverty level. It is astonishing how many of them need food stamps and other forms of assistance to get by! Last year alone, our military families redeemed food stamps at twice the civilian rate!!! How can we, as Americans, who enjoy the very freedom they provide, allow that to be the standard? The answer is, we can't!
So, I decided to do anything I could to help.

I wrote and am currently recording a song called "From Our Hearts To Yours" that is to be the focal point for this project. I am in the process of putting together a tour that will, with your help, raise money for our struggling military and veteran families in need. We will raise money several ways. First, I will partner with several military charities that help those families by providing food, shelter and resources of all kinds. I will donate the majority of proceeds from the sale of the CD and Mp3's of the song. The tour will not just be me performing, but we will have important guest speakers and performers as well, so it will be a great show that you won't want to miss!! Of course we will be taking donations at the shows. We will also ask major companies, business owners, organizations and average citizens to help sponsor the tour by donating as well. My goal is to begin the tour by mid spring.

If you are a corporation that would like to be a sponsor by donating funds or even just your company name please fill out the contact form so we can get back to you immediately. If you are a small business, organization or just a concerned patriot that would like to donate funds or even volunteer in any capacity, please do the same and we will follow up with you quickly.

Please remember to bookmark this page and return often to see updates on when the song is being released for sale, when the tour begins and the venues.

Thank you so much for your support, and please keep our men and women in uniform in your prayers as they defend liberty everywhere!

Blessings always,

"Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light for my path". Psalm 119:105

During these perilous times of terrorism and terrible economic struggles, it is easy to feel like we are in a dark tunnel with no light at the end. Sometimes it feels like God doesn't hear us. I can assure you that He does hear us, and this verse tells us what to do when we feel that way. When you feel like you are surrounded by darkness, look to the Word! The answers are always there, His love is always there. Pray that God would direct you to the right verse for your specific situation and prayer request, and He will guide you to it. Then, follow it!

God's word is indeed a lamp unto our feet and a light for our path, if only we will seek it and use it.

May this verse be a blessing to you today!

Here is Kimbirly in her own words telling how this awesome anthem came to be:
I sang the National Anthem at the tax day tea party in Lansing, Michigan on the steps of the Michigan Capital building. When the organizers began planning the Independence Day tea party, they asked me to sing the National Anthem again and also a patriotic song. I couldn’t think of a traditional patriotic song that embodied the tea party movement and why we are here and what we are about. I started thinking, “I’m a song writer, so I’ll just write one”. I sat down to write a song about We The People and in less than an hour, the song was written.

I truly believe that the Lord put this song on my heart! The next thing I did was call my “partner in crime“, Kris. We got together at his house and worked out the musical arrangement and then hit the studio and recorded the song in under four hours! We had some CD’s pressed and then debuted the song at the Independence Day tea party in Lansing, Michigan. We got a GREAT response, everyone loved it and sang along.
I want WE THE PEOPLE (Silent Majority No More) to inspire ALL Americans to STAND UP and let their voice be heard so we can take back our country!

"Remember this; whoever sows sparingly will reap sparingly and whoever sows generously will reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
~2 Corinthians 9:6-7

Now that the holiday season is in full swing, I know that people are busy writing out their Christmas lists of all the things they want this year. One of the greatest joys of the holidays for me is giving! I love to give!! With so many people in need right now, we should not forget about charitable giving. This bible verse is clear on how to give. We should not give to the church or to charity or to neighbors & friends in need because we feel obligated or even because it's the right thing to do, we should give because we want to!

There is such a great joy in giving! To see a child's face light up when they receive a gift from Toys for Tots, or a Mother's smile as she & her children are being served food at a soup kitchen, or the joy on a child's face in a third world country who just received a new pair of shoes or a toy (neither of which they have ever owned), is priceless! I have had the wonderful opportunity to sponsor a child in Burma, and was blessed to be able to send an extra gift one year of $100 which provided the family with a 50 pound sack of rice, several gallons of cooking oil, a sewing machine and a bicycle for our precious sponsored child. The joy and gratitude that the family expressed was something I will never forget! The joy it gave my husband and I was enormous! "God loves a cheerful giver"!
I know that times are tough for all of us right now, but allow me to suggest a few ways for you to give to charity this year while still having enough under the tree; One thing we like to do for our parents (since they already have 2 of everything) is to make a charitable donation in their names. One of my favorite charities is World Vision (click the charities tab for more info), you can give livestock to families in poverty that will keep producing eggs, milk & other livestock through breeding! You can give or purchase all or part of a water well for a village or even housing!

One of my favorite charities is World Vision (click the charities tab for more info), you can give livestock to families in poverty that will keep producing eggs, milk & other livestock through breeding! You can give or purchase all or part of a water well for a village or even housing!

You can do this in someone’s name and have a gift card sent to them saying that you gave to this charity in their name. This is a wonderful way to give a gift to a family member or friend while also giving to charity! You can purchase small toys at a dollar store to give to Toys for Tots. It may only cost you a dollar, but to a child with NO toys, it is priceless! One of my passions is breast cancer awareness, by purchasing “pink” products like note pads, cookware, beauty products and literally hundreds of items to give as gifts this Christmas, you are also giving to breast cancer charities, because a portion of sales goes to them! Many charities do that. Try looking online for charitable gift giving. You can also click the “charities” tab here on my website to see some of my favorite charities that help our troops, vets and their families as well as breast cancer and more. Also, when you purchase my music, a portion of all sales goes to these charities!
I pray you have a truly blessed holiday season that is filled with the joy of helping and giving to those in need.

In His name,
~Kimbirly
